Biden's Ukrainian Conflicts of Interest Story
President Trump has insisted over and over again that his conversations with the Ukrainian president were totally appropriate.
Early media reports about this issue appear to be wrong. The Wall Street Journal reported President Trump made no promises in his call with the Ukrainian president, yet the media obsessed over this phantom, unknown "promise" for a week.
It now appears the so-called “whistleblower” the media has obsessed over actually heard about the phone call second hand, and then leaked to the media.
President Trump has publicly discussed the need for an investigation into the Biden-Ukraine conflict of interest many times, this is nothing new.
The Russia hoax is over and now the media is searching high and low for its next witch hunt to go after the president.
In order to avoid the real questions about Joe and Hunter Biden’s shady business dealings, Democrats and the media are desperately trying to make this story about President Trump.
Here are the facts about the Joe Biden Ukraine story:
Joe Biden recently claimed that “not one single credible outlet has given any credibility to his assertions.”
That is a lie. Several major outlets have reported thoroughly on Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings that crossed over with Joe Biden’s official work.
ABC News published a long piece in July 2019 stating “More than once, after his father [Joe Biden] engaged in diplomacy on behalf of the United States in foreign countries, Hunter Biden conducted business in the same country.”
In May 2019, The New York Times also did an in depth piece on questions surrounding Joe Biden’s conflicts of interest with his son’s business dealings in Ukraine.
Hunter Biden had significant business dealings in Ukraine and China, both starting in the months following official trips by his father, then Vice-President Joe Biden.
In the Ukraine, the controversy centers around Hunter Biden’s work on the board of a Ukrainian gas company (Burisma) that paid an entity connected to him at least $3.4 million, all while his father conducted diplomacy in the country. Prior to joining the board of Burisma, Hunter had no experience in Ukraine or in natural gas.
Then Vice-President Joe Biden at one point threatened to withhold $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees if Ukraine’s leaders did not dismiss the country’s top prosecutor, a prosecutor who happened to be investigating potential corruption at Burisma.
These are serious issues that deserve to be investigated.
Biden lost his cool with a reporter over the weekend when asked about these issues, stating he has never spoken with his son Hunter about foreign business dealings.
We know this to be untrue. Hunter Biden told the New Yorker that he spoke with his father about his business dealings in Ukraine.
