Homemade or Store-Bought?
Which do you prefer? Home-made or store-bought pie? For those who have never experienced homemade apple pie let me tell you, it’s an easy answer—homemade every day!
Last night while I watched the Republican National Convention I realized that I was watching something that was so much better than what the Democrats had to offer that it was just like the comparison of homemade vs. store-bought.
Let me give you some examples so you can see what I mean.
Democrats = Store-bought quality.
1. Stale
Just like a pie that’s been sitting on the shelf for weeks the Democrats are still peddling the same old stale ideas. For example, we are expected to believe that socialism will work this time even though every other time it is tried it has led to the loss of liberty and the loss of individual ambition to achieve more than what their parents did.
2. Generic
All the pies in the store look the same. And they should because they were all made in the same factory on the same line. When I look at the Democrat Party all I see is a monolithic platform that is so anti-Trump it cannot speak about anything else. It seems that the priority of all Democrats is to get rid of the current President, and it seems they are willing to sell their souls to socialism to achieve that goal.
3. Bad Flavor
Honestly, I don’t get very excited about what Democrats have to say. Why? Because it leaves me with a sour taste—the kind that lingers in the back of my mouth. Democrats want to abort unborn children for any reason up the moment of birth. Don’t believe me? Just look at their platform. They want to destroy the family by claiming that “it takes a village” to raise children when what children really need is a mom and dad in the home. They are Anti-science regarding gender, and instead of helping individuals out of confusion, they plunge them further down the psychological abyss. I could go on but I need something sweet.
Republicans = Homemade
1. Unique
The best homemade pies never turn out exactly the same. In fact, many of the best cooks never follow a recipe but instead, they seek to discover new tastes by exploring new flavors. In the grand scheme of history, themes like freedom, liberty, and individual responsibility are new ideas represented by the American Dream. The ability for every individual to embrace their uniqueness as God’s creation and reach their full potential has always flourished under conservative principles.
2. Flavorful
Oh, the best part of a homemade pie is the flavor! So rich and sweet that I can almost taste it just thinking about it. Conservative ideas have always spurred people into becoming the best person that they can be and finding purpose inside a world of the mundane. There is nothing quite like the moment one realizes they have found their meaning in life, and that is exactly the opportunity the Republican Party has to offer.
3. Unifying
There is a side effect of homemade pie. It almost always causes us to want to share it with someone else. So if you are an unaffiliated voter that is still considering their options, why don’t we gather around the table of conservatism and have a friendly discussion about which is better—Store-bought or Homemade.
