About our Extra Special Guests
Congressman Jeff Hurd, a Colorado native, grew up in Grand Junction and graduated from Grand Junction High School. He holds a degree from the University of Notre Dame and law degrees from the University of Denver and Columbia Law School. He began his legal career clerking for Timothy M. Tymkovich of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, then practiced at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York before returning to Western Colorado in 2014.
Before his election, he was a director and shareholder at Ireland Stapleton Pryor & Pascoe, PC, leading the firm’s Grand Junction office. He advised businesses across Colorado on complex transactions and regulatory matters, with a focus on electric cooperatives. Jeff and his wife, Barbora, raise their five children in Western Colorado.
A successful entrepreneur, author, and advocate for the American Dream. She is known as the founder of Camp Bow Wow, the largest pet care franchise in the U.S., the last statewide elected Republican in Colorado, a Regent at the University of Colorado for six years, and the 2022 Republican nominee for Governor in Colorado.
Most recently, Heidi launched the Road to Red Initiative to revive the freedom grassroots movement in Colorado, and the Rocky Mountain Voice, an unabashedly right-of-center news source dedicated to keeping Coloradans informed and connected. Through these two projects, Heidi continues her mission to inspire action, support local communities, and champion entrepreneurial and educational opportunities based on America First principles.
Dr. Scott T. Bottoms is a second-term Representative for Colorado House District 15 and has served as Lead Pastor at Church at Briargate in Colorado Springs for nearly 13 years. He previously pastored in Strasburg and Rocky Ford. A Navy veteran, he holds a B.A. in Church Ministries (2002), an M.A. in Urban and Intercultural Ministries (2006), and a Doctor of Ministry in Intercultural Spiritual Leadership (2011). Dr. Bottoms has served on executive boards for the Assemblies of God, Nelson University, and Strong Cross Ministries, and also chaired Sarah’s Home. Married to Linda for 34 years, he is the proud father of three, father-in-law of two, and grandfather of three. Ian Escalante is the Executive Director of Rocky Mountain Gun Owners (RMGO), a leading gun rights advocacy group in Colorado. Known for his strong defense of the Second Amendment, he actively opposes gun control laws like Senate Bill 25-3, which mandates safety training for semiautomatic firearm purchases. Prior to leading RMGO, Escalante served as Director of Operations, gaining recognition for his legislative knowledge and liberty-focused activism. Originally from Port Orange, Florida, he now lives in Denver, Colorado. He is a graduate of FreedomProject Academy and shares his views on gun rights and libertarian values through social media. Greg Lopez
Greg Lopez is a Republican politician and businessman from Colorado, currently running for governor in the 2026 election—his third bid for the office. He previously ran in 2018 and 2022, losing both times in the Republican primaries.
Born on June 7, 1964, in Dallas, Texas, Lopez is a U.S. Air Force veteran who served from 1983 to 1987. After his military service, he earned an associate degree in business administration from New Mexico State University. He moved to Colorado in 1988 and was elected mayor of Parker at age 27, serving from 1992 to 1996.
From 2008 to 2014, Lopez served as the Colorado director of the U.S. Small Business Administration. In 2024, he won a special election to complete the remainder of Rep. Ken Buck’s term in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District, serving from July 2024 to January 2025.
Lopez’s political platform emphasizes conservative values, support for school choice. He resides in Elizabeth, Colorado, with his wife, Lisa, and their two adult children.
