It Is This Close!
OK- This is it. It’s now or never. And never's not an option.
If Eagle County Republicans don't show up to the polls, we can lose. Itisthisclose.
But wait- maybe you haven’t heard, we’re having an election. And this one could change this country forever. Vote now. Don’t put it off another minute.
And what happens if you don’t? The Ds win and as they have already promised, they will start repealing every single good thing Trump has done. Do you really want that? Because that’s the plan and they can’t wait to get started.
Actually, it’s an easy choice, even if you don’t like it. The great story of the last 4 years is the economy. They just announced that the GDP* grew by over 33.1% - the highest in history- and the economy grew by 7.4% in the 3rd quarter despite the pandemic. It’s been the longest growth rate on record and the best economy ever seen and it will continue if we win. Don’t think for a second that Joe can do it.
Why? Because the Democrats stand for riots, intolerance, reparation, smothering regulations, government dependence, increased taxes, crony capitalism, bureaucracy, court-packing, and masks. They’re controlled by their insatiable need to control.
So, here’s the bottom line. The future of the country and our state is on the line in this election. And if you believe in Republican values- think the opposite of the previous paragraph- you’d better vote to preserve them because they’re under attack.
I’m going out on a limb here so bear with me. If you haven’t voted by now, there must be a reason. From some of the grumbling I’ve heard, there are probably many of you who have a problem with our President. So, I’m addressing this to you.
I too have problems with some of the rhetoric. I’m assuming, like me, you don’t object to what’s getting done but the way it’s getting done.
What I’m going to suggest now is that you put that aside. You don’t need to like him; you don’t have to agree with his style. But I beg you to remember that results matter and elections have consequences.
This election should be about policies, not personalities. No personality, like it or not, can promote economic growth, improve our schools, make America stronger and freer, protect our constitutional rights, and ensure our branches of government remain independent. Only policy choices can do that.
But if you’re still having a “Trump problem”, just vote for the state and county candidates and the state and county ballot issues. They don’t affect Trump but you’ll at least be supporting things close to home.
Remember, if you don’t vote, it’s a vote for the Democrats.
